Each class begins with practicing keyboarding skills. Students use website Typing Club for keyboarding. Focus is on accuracy and speed rather than fingering.
Digital Citizenship
Much of the first trimester will be spent covering how to use digital media safely and appropriately. Common Sense media is the author of the curriculum. Age appropriate videos and topics for discussion are included in each module.

Cyberbullying, Digital Drama & Hate Speech
News & Media Literacy
Grades 7/8 are "creating their own business." Students are required to submit a business plan and logo. Then they create documents needed for their business (letterhead, business cards, etc.) Finally, they will create a 60 sec. commercial to advertise their company.
